Get your feet on the pedals and join the Holly Community for the 2012 Bike Safety Rally, hosted by the Holly Outdoor Recreation Coalition and Patterson Elementary School!
Injury prevention specialists from Genesys Trauma Services will be on hand to teach kids (and adults) proper fitting and wearing of bicycle helmets. Genesys is offering FREE bicycle helmets to Bike Safety Rally attendees (while supplies last).
Helmets are only the first step in bicycle safety. The Bicycle Patrol Unit of the Holly Police Department will be on hand to instruct riders on the safe rules of the road on a safety course set up at Patterson.
At 11 a.m., Holly Lodge #134, Free & Accepted Masons, will be announcing the winners of their Bikes for Books Reading Contest, with the winners each receiving a free bicycle and helmet.
